We needed to organise a celebration of life at short notice over the Christmas period. Rod and Nicky were exceptional in working with us to create a truly memorable, dignified and fun occasion which was truly unique and which no one will ever forget. They worked as a close professional team with us from start to finish. Giving us the opportunity to help make the willow coffin was amazing and has helped us come to terms with our loss. The way they worked and communicated with us was totally reassuring as was the totally open fee structure. Having a local Funeral Director gave us piece of mind that they were able to advise with detailed knowledge of how the Crematorium would operate. Nicky is an amazing and caring Celebrant who helped to make the service so special. As they kept saying -anything is possible so we did have a hymn followed by singing Club Tropicana. Live streaming also meant that friends and family from around the world were able to be present which added to such a special day. Thank you so much.

Five and a half years ago when my mum passed away, I chose Rod. I had seen him on the market and I could tell from the way he is around people, that he is kind and caring person. He did a lovely funeral for my mum. He kept me updated all the way through and was so professional.

My dad died on the 9th January at West Mendip hospital. I got the call about 1.15am to say he had passed away. A few hours later I called Rod to say I wanted him to do my dad's funeral. I then asked him to go and get him....he already had at 1.30am. I couldn't believe that he and his son at gone out that early in the morning to get my dad. I thought that was wonderful.

I met up with Rod and talked about what I wanted for my dad's funeral and today we buried my dad. It was exactly how I wanted....simple and respectful. Rod provides a wonderful service....he is kind, caring, respectful and very professional.

Rod was not only mum and dad's funeral director, he was also a friend and only too happy to help me both before and after mum passed away. As this was all new to me Rod guided me in what I needed to do after mum died and also provided me with the necessary details of how to register mum's death and what would happen after this had been done. When it came to choosing a coffin and flowers Rod was happy to help and give advice and was also on hand regarding the Order of Service, leading me through what was needed and making suggestions as to what my brother and I might like to include in the order of service and, all round, I have to say that, all round, this part of working through what needed to be done after mum passed away was made much easier and less stressful compared to the rest of my list of "things to do" after mum's passing. As I did not attend the funeral, I cannot give my feedback in this regard but am told that it all went smoothly and in accordance with my (and my brother's) wishes. Nicky Sutton, the independent celebrant also did her bit in making sure that the Order of Service ran smoothly and in accordance with our wishes.

Many thanks Rod, I would not hesitate in recommending Wells Funeral Services to others going down the same sad but, unfortunately, inevitable road.
